Taiwan - Highlights
June 28-July 6
-traveling around the entire island. down the west coast, up the east coast.
-cycling around oyster farms and along the ocean and watching sunset with Jen.
-meeting Jen's friends, being prayed for in Chinese.
-Tainan night market: oyster omelettes (a Taiwanese specialty)
-bubble tea is EVERYWHERE and cheap. and many flavors. one day i had purple rice and coconut milk.
-scuba diving off the south coast of Taiwan and using less air than the dive master.
-going for lunch with dive master to eat sushime.
-picking up garbage on the sea floor since one of the dives was rather boring.
-experiencing night-food with 2 British students in Kenting: squid, mangoes, ice cream, more squid (best squid ever!)
-unknowingly walking over fireworks on the beach at night.
-driving this dude's motorbike/scooter thing (i only fell off once!)
-accepting a free 1.5 hour taxi drive to Kaohsiung (south-central city in Taiwan)
-walking along the Love river in Kaohsiung.
-again...meeting and hanging out with crazy hostel randoms.
-taking a 9-hour train ride up the east coast. mountains on the left, ocean on the right.
-drinking bubble tea atleast once or twice a day.
