5th wheeling in Malaysia - Korea style

With only a few weeks left in SG, I didnt want to leave having never at the very least crossed the border into Malaysia. Last Tuesday, a fun family of 4 and myself hopped on the train headed north. The interesting thing about this train is that you actually go through immigration before you get on the train - so you're in Malaysia IN the train which is IN Singapore. In two countries at once!

The train ride took 2 hours, only because we were stopped for an hour waiting for the train that left an hour later than ours to pass us on the tracks. Makes sense eh?  But, the wait was fun! Hung out the door of the train, train-hopped onto the speed train that pulled up next to ours, saw a glass door shatter in a gazillion pieces, and met some Aussies who were also headed to M-A-L-EYE-ZHEAAA.

 Hopped onto the speed train.
 Another train arriving.
I found my K-pop star in Malaysia! (maybe his products will help my red eyes)
 Crossing the water into Malaysia.
Trying to hold back the Asian pride. Joyce et moi.

Johor-Bahru is similar to Singapore - slightly dirtier and cheaper. Certain things are MUCH cheaper. Like going to see a movie. 6 ringgit (~3 SGD). Source Code - not bad movie. Loved the aircon :)
