Last few days in Singapore

These last few days in Singapore have been amazing. It's been busy. Running errands, getting ready for Nepal, seeing friends, dealing with mold in my room, and eating. Since getting back from the Philippines, we've had 3 days in Singapore.

Night 1: Kareoke
This was probably one of my funnest nights in Singapore. Went to Kareoke to celebrate Prudence's birthday!

Half of the Kareoke crew. Nate is belting!

Real Kareoke stars. The epic trio.

Night 2: Korean Dinner
Super tasty. Accidentally ate more than one super hot red pepper. It felt like my tongue had touched a hot stove top. I sucked on ice for 15 minutes. It was so painful! But after 15 minutes, my entire mouth just felt numb and I was able to continue eating. Perhaps this is preparation for Chengdu - the hot city! Ended the meal with super yummy cinnamon/date cold tea. Good time!

Night 3: Chili Crab
Went out for Chili crab with my small group. The crabs were AMAZING! Chili crab is apparently a 'Singaporean thing'. Glad I got to experience it! It's definitely a hands-on event. I dont really like getting my hands dirty while eating - but you dont have a choice when it comes to crab. My hands were COVERED! Great time breaking shells and legs, and sucking out the meat. It was delicious! Hopefully I'll get to enjoy more seafood in China and Korea.

And now it's almost 4am and I'm still preparing to head to Nepal - in exactly 12 hours, our flight leaves Singapore. KT and I are headed to Nepal to hike through the Himalayas - if the rains havent flooded out all the trails yet. I'm excited for this next adventure but also sad to be leaving good friends. Looking forward to the start of summer. The first time in a while where I wont be doing anything engineering-related.

Adios Southeast Asia. You've been good to me!
