Rocky Mountain Project 2006... Storming the Frontier has begun!
Let's be honest from the get-go: I've never done this blog thing before so I won't pretend that I have the slightest clue of how it works or will turn out!
I feel like I have been in Calgary for longer than 5 days now. I'm starting to get a feel for the city, the C-train, this project and its entities. Continuously surrendering worries, doubts, fears and weaknesses to God has been my challenge these past few days. I'm trusting God is going to lead me to the right work place.. I know where I want to be and I hope I end up working where I want to be, but I am trying to prepare myself not to be disapointed if God has another plan.
I've been thinking a lot lately of where I want to be more involved in this project and I feel led into initiating prayer meetings within appartments, and even schools to be praying for this upcomming term in the fall.
I've learnt that there is no such thing as 'random evangelizing' but that each stranger or person you share with is a divine appointment that God has set up. I pray that God will lead us to the right hearts that He has been preparing so that we can use our time in an efficient manner. This nation is hungry. We have so much freedom in North America to know God and speak freely about Him yet it's one of the areas in the world with the least people coming to know Christ personally.
My heart is for this country and as much as it might seem more difficult to share the Gospel with people in Canada... I'm reminded that we have just as much spiritual need as any other country AND we can freely talk to people about God without serious harm.
I encourage people to continue praying for those around them, your city, and for your country.
'And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.' Matthew 24:14
